Topics on Climate Discourse

SPAN UN 2104 – Intermediate Spanish II

Welcome to Let’s Talk Climate in the Humanities! This project is designed to inspire conversations about climate change through the lens of Spanish language and culture. It centers around a unique course, Intermediate Spanish II: Topics on Climate Discourse, which examines how climate change is portrayed in media, literature, and cultural works from the Spanish-speaking world.

By exploring how these narratives shape public opinion and reflect social and political contexts, the course helps students improve their Spanish language skills while engaging deeply with one of the most urgent global challenges. Through readings, discussions, and interactive resources, students will gain tools to connect academic knowledge with broader communities, fostering dialogue that bridges the sciences and the humanities. This site is your gateway to the resources, ideas, and collaborations that bring this interdisciplinary journey to life.
